I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather. Personally, June weather is some of my favorite. The world outside the brewhouse on 6 am brew days is bright, the air is still cool enough that the pre and post work bike rides are awesome, and the nighttime temps just make you want to sit out on the patio and have a great beer. And we are here to make sure that great beer is waiting for you!
This month look for the return of our Gose. We’ve been making this style since before it became all the rage. This is a great beer for sitting outside and enjoying while playing a game of bags. A light bodied wheat beer that has a slight sour kick, rounded out by a healthy dose of coriander and unique salt. You’ll get to the end of your glass and wonder why we don’t make this more often. What if you like the wheat beer angle, but are just more of a dark beer fan? We’ve got something for you, as well. After a bit of a hiatus, the return of the Dunkelweizen is soon to happen. This beauty looks like melted chocolate and tastes slightly of banana, two of my favorite flavors. Perfect for when the sun dips below skyline and the night air begins to have a pleasant nip. Finally, we will be releasing our collaboration with our sister moto-i. A rice lager made from Yamada nishiki flour. This easy drinking beer is dry on the palate with a soft aroma of strawberries. We’ve been sampling this one pretty heavily and we confident that you’ll enjoy it. Come down and see for yourself!
Also coming up toward the end of the month we’re pleased to be involved in the Pride Dabbler again this year. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, get on it. No promises that the shorts or unusual headwear will make a return this year, but we can guarantee that you will have a great time. And new this year, every brewery is making a one-off beer dedicated to an LGBTQ icon. We’re repping David Sedaris. Can you imagine the fun we’re going to have with that one?! Hope to see you there!
As always, don’t think you need to wait to come down and see what we’re up to. Our draft lineup is stellar. The Eva is delicious, our Rye IPA is my new personal favorite, and the Piwo is refreshing and very drinkable. See you soon.
