May has the distinction of possessing two weeks dedicated to beer, 10,000 Minutes of MN Craft Beer Week and American Craft Beer Week. The Herkimer has plenty of fun brews and special releases to help you celebrate!
First up will be 10,000 Minutes of MN Craft Beer, May 9-15. Every year we like to release new or seasonal beers to get everyone ready for the patio season we all love. This year, look for the release of our Weiss bier, The Tooler’s, to kick off the week. As a German Style Weiss, expect a hazy beer with a billowing head that has flavors of banana and clove and finishes super clean. You’ll love it so much you will want to hug us for the 23 oz pour you’re going to get! Our second offering will be a fun new beer based on a historical brew known as a Piwo Grodziskie. I think we’ll have a lot of fun practicing the pronunciation together. Think of this beer as a super session-able wheat beer with just a hint of smokiness to it. Sure to be a crowd pleaser for the light beer and craft drinker alike.
American Craft Beer Week follows right on MN Craft Week’s heels, May 16-22. We may be a bit drained following the previous weeks releases, but we’ll press on by bringing everyone fresh releases. A new Nitro beer will be waiting for you, an English Best Bitter. A low gravity offering with a touch of caramel and toast and a clean bitterness going down. We’ll also have a fresh new IPA ready for you, this one with a healthy dose of Rye to please the spicy side of your palate.
And as always, make your way in asap to delight in our current offerings! We have a fresh Eva waiting, along with two new saison offerings. Our Black Saison is full of dark cherry flavors, while our Rustic Saison will introduce you to the unique flavor of Spelt. Can’t wait to see you!
